Rise and Shine is located just 2 and ½ hours north of Toronto, on pristine Lake Rosseau.  A prime location, with access to Lake Joseph and Lake Muskoka, you can boat the big 3 lakes!  Conveniently situated close to Port Carling, Port Sandfield and Minett – enjoy world class golfing, dining and shopping!

The Property

This shared lakefront property features a park-like waterfront and shared 227 feet of sun-drenched beachfront.  Lots of space for the kids to run and play!  Hit the tennis court on site, or kick back and relax in the Muskoka chairs as you take in the magnificent panoramic view.  Rent a motor boat at a nearby marina and park it at the dedicated boat slip.  Explore the bays of Lake Rosseau by kayak (2). In the evening, toast marshmallows over the lakeside campfire.

The Cottage

This beautiful custom-built Muskoka cottage has an open concept and smart design, perfectly designed for family and perfectly designed for entertaining!  With beautiful antique flooring, a vaulted ceiling, wall to wall windows, and freshly painted walls, the cottage is vibrant and bright.  Spectacular views of Lake Rosseau from every room!

The foyer opens into the picture-perfect living room, complete with a gorgeous granite fireplace, leather furniture and flat screen satellite TV.   Wooden steps take you to the upper loft for a quiet space with relaxing wicker furniture and small office space should you need to catch up on some emails.  Wifi is available.

The exceptionally stunning kitchen is large and fully equipped – perfect for preparing meals for the whole family!  With a smart breakfast bar and stools, the kids can grab a quick bite before heading down to the beach.

The dining area features a large pine harvest table, comfortably seating 8-10. There is a convenient walk-out to the front deck, where you will find a propane grill and outdoor dining table and chairs.  The lakeside deck runs along the entire front of the cottage offering you views of the lakefront.

The right side of the cottage, just off the dining area, boasts a charming Muskoka Room – a perfect space to curl up and read with a cup of coffee or glass of wine – and another convenient walk-out to the front deck. From here, French doors open into the beautiful master bedroom, featuring a luxurious King bed and wonderful wicker furniture.  Enjoy another flat screen TV with internet access.  The spotless master ensuite boasts a jacuzzi tub and separate shower.

On the left side of the cottage, just off the living room, you will find two more inviting bedrooms, each featuring a queen bed.  An immaculate 5pc bathroom with shower and tub and two sinks is next to these bedrooms, and a super convenient laundry room with washer and dryer round out that wing of the cottage.

LOWER LEVEL

The lower level features more great space:  comfy sofa and flat screen TV (with internet connection), perfect for family movie night and a gorgeous bar, perfect for entertaining.  There is a fun ping pong table, dartboard and lots of board games.  Comes complete with a walkout to the lakefront.

Two more bedrooms are here:  one features a Queen bed while the other has two double beds – perfect for the kids to have their sleepovers!  A beautiful brand new 3pc bathroom with shower rounds out the floor plan.

2024 Policies

Muskoka Cottages by Marlene is committed to providing all our Guests and Cottage Owners a safe and responsible rental experience.  With the abundant uncertainties around the Covid-19 pandemic situation moving into 2024, we have adjusted our regular Payment and Cancellation Policies.  These 2024 updated policies provide a level of flexibility in both timeline commitments and payment obligations.

Payment Policy

50% deposit of a reservation is due upon booking request being approved by the Manager, with the balance due 30 days prior to Arrival Date (vs. usual payment policy of 60 days prior).

Cancellation Policy

 30 days prior to Arrival Date, the Manager will email Renter requesting confirmation of reservation.

  • A Renter wishing to cancel a reservation will have his/her deposit (less 5% booking fee) refunded.
  • A Renter wishing to firm up reservation will be sent a secure link to make his/her balance payment.

A Renter cancelling 1-29 days before Arrival Date will forfeit 100% of the Rental Fee and the 5% booking fee.  If the Property is able to be re-booked for the same rental period, 100% of the Rental and Cleaning and Linen Fees, less a $250 Administration Fee and the 5% booking fee, will be refunded to Renter.

An Owner/Manager reserves the right to cancel a Rental Agreement at any time, at which point all payments will be refunded to Renter.

Should the Property not be available due to COVID-19 safety measures, or Acts of Nature (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane or other natural disaster), all payments will be refunded to Renter.
