Nestled on the shores of beautiful Leonard Lake, this wonderful pine 4-bedroom cottage checks all the boxes for an awesome family holiday!

Northwood is just 2.5 hours north of Toronto, located conveniently between Port Carling and Bracebridge.  Leonard Lake is a desirable quiet lake in the Muskoka region, super close to shopping, dining, golf, farmers markets and other summertime activities!

The Property

Situated on a lovely wooded and gentle sloping property, Northwood is great for families. The picturesque lakefront boasts a prime western exposure, a gorgeous granite rockface and long sparkling lake views!

Enjoy the waterfront from the sun-drenched dock or under the shade of the covered waterside deck.  Perfect for small children, this holiday paradise offers shallow swimming by the shore and 5’ deep water swimming off the end of the dock.  Lots of family memories to make here – explore the quiet lake by kayak/canoe, learn to stand up paddleboard, splash in the pedalboat.  In the evening, enjoy spectacular Muskoka evening sunsets, followed by a campfire under the stars at the water’s edge.

Just a few steps up to the cottage that boasts a wrap-around deck with gates at each end, making it super child-friendly so everyone can enjoy!  There is a propane barbecue for grilling and dining al fresco!

The Cottage

Feel the warmth of this cottage with its beautiful pine ceiling beams and walls!  The huge picture windows make the rooms bright, sunny, and offer stunning views of the lake!

The spotless kitchen comes complete with a fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and other small appliances.  A wonderful family-sized wood harvest table is featured in the dining area, along with a triple sliding door out to the lakeside deck.

Get comfy on the beautiful pine furniture for family time with movies and popcorn – both satellite TV and a DVD player with a selection of movies are available.  A cozy woodstove takes the edge off a cool evening.

The iconic Muskoka screened porch offers a great space to relax and enjoy the great outdoors from indoors – lake view included!  Curl up with a good book or for a nap!  Great space for the family to play some board games.

There are 3 charming bedrooms in the main cottage:  The 1^st and 2^nd bedrooms feature lovely Queen beds while the 3^rd bedroom has a set of twin beds.  A spotless 4pc bathroom with tub/shower rounds out the cottage floor plan.

The Bunkie

The sleeping bunkie features another set of twin beds plus a pull-out sofa – perfect for Grandma and Grandpa, or for teens, to have some of their own space.

 All bed linen and bath towels provided; beds and pillows have protection covers.  Bring your own beach towels!

$5,600 / week (equates to $800 / night) rental fee
$540 Maintenance, cleaning & linen fee*

2024 Policies

Muskoka Cottages by Marlene is committed to providing all our Guests and Cottage Owners a safe and responsible rental experience.  With the abundant uncertainties around the Covid-19 pandemic situation moving into 2024, we have adjusted our regular Payment and Cancellation Policies.  These 2024 updated policies provide a level of flexibility in both timeline commitments and payment obligations

Payment Policy

50% deposit of a reservation is due within 14 days of a booking request being approved by the Manager, with the balance due 30 days prior to Arrival Date (vs. usual payment policy of 60 days prior).

 Cancellation Policy

 30 days prior to Arrival Date, the Manager will email Renter requesting confirmation of reservation.

• A Renter wishing to cancel a reservation will have his/her deposit (less 5% booking fee) refunded.
  
• A Renter wishing to firm up reservation will be sent a secure link to make his/her balance payment.

 A Renter cancelling 1-29 days before Arrival Date will forfeit 100% of the Rental Fee and the 5% booking fee.  If the Property is able to be re-booked for the same rental period, 100% of the Rental and Cleaning and Linen Fees, less a $250 Administration Fee and the 5% booking fee, will be refunded to Renter.

 An Owner/Manager reserves the right to cancel a Rental Agreement at any time, at which point all payments will be refunded to Renter. 

 Should the Property not be available due to COVID-19 safety measures, or Acts of Nature (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane or other natural disaster), all payments will be refunded to Renter.
